⚖️ Escape the Earthly Systems… or Be the Light?
“I take advantage of the quiet before the great event… to make a bold confession.”
We are living in times that increasingly resemble what Jesus described in Matthew 24. These are no longer distant prophecies—they are unfolding before our eyes. The real question is no longer if, but how we respond.
⛰️ Escape to the Mountains… or Remain?
Many believe the solution is isolation. But Scripture reveals a deeper truth.
“Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.” (Matthew 24:16)
This command is clearly tied to a specific location—Judea, not a universal instruction for all believers.
In contrast, just a few verses later, we see something very different:
“…they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage… Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left.” (Matthew 24:39–41)
This describes a normal, ongoing life right before the end—people working, living, interacting. Not hiding. Not withdrawing.
💡 The Real Calling: Be the Light
Jesus never called us to escape the world, but to remain in it with purpose:
“I do not ask that You take them out of the world, but that You keep them from the evil one.” (John 17:15)
“You are the light of the world… a city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” (Matthew 5:14)
Light has no purpose if it hides. It exists to shine in darkness.
This is why Christ calls us to witness:
“Whoever acknowledges Me before men, I will also acknowledge before My Father in heaven.” (Matthew 10:32)
⏳ Endurance, Not Escape
Christ’s command in persecution is not comfort—but endurance:
“He who endures to the end shall be saved.” (Matthew 24:13)
Endurance means standing in truth when pressure rises. Not retreating, but remaining faithful.
🧠 About Hardened Hearts
Yes, Scripture speaks about spiritual hardening:
“…so that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.” (Hebrews 3:13)
But this is not a justification to give up on people.
God still calls—even at the last moment. To say that some “will never wake up” is not faith—it limits God.
⚖️ Truth Without Superiority
Jesus taught us to speak truth—but with love, not superiority.
In today’s world, there is both the light of Christ and a cold, deceptive light that misleads. This is why confusion and division appear—even among believers.
Some withdraw. Others feel called to witness—even unto sacrifice. And many act from personal fears rather than spiritual conviction.
This is why even communities will struggle. Faith and convictions do not change easily.
🔥 Conclusion
This is the real question:
Will we escape… or will we shine?
This is not the time for isolation or spiritual egoism.
It is the time for:
- ✔️ returning to truth
- ✔️ standing firm in faith
- ✔️ becoming light in darkness
The quiet we feel now may not last much longer.
And when the storm comes… the question will not be where we hid, but whether we remained faithful.
